Description of the Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe training game
Many of you probably know the game of tic-tac-toe from childhood and have certainly played it many times with your friends or relatives. Over time, you probably came to the conclusion that it is impossible to lose to an experienced player in this simple game, and winning against an experienced player also turns out to be almost impossible. Perhaps that is why the game Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe was invented. Its creators - Mark Asperheim and Chris Van Oosterum - came up with a way to reduce the predictability of regular tic-tac-toe and increase its depth and strategic potential. And I think they succeeded, at least now this game requires significantly more mental effort to achieve victory or even a draw. Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe is a table of 9 small tic-tac-toe fields, where each small cell of the playing field refers the player to the corresponding playing field on the large table. Currently, the game on the Metodorf project website is presented in versions for two players and against a computer opponent - from simple to complex, although not the strongest to win against an experienced human, but strong enough that victory requires great effort from a human.

Guide to the Ultimate Tic-Tac-Toe training game
So, choose the game option - with a computer opponent or with your friend on one computer, choose whether you will play as crosses first or noughts second, and start the game. After starting the game, you will see a table of nine small tic-tac-toe playing fields in front of you - three in a row. Your main goal in the game is to arrange your victories on the small fields of the large playing field in a row of three. The first player can place a cross in any cell of any of the nine playing fields, and which small playing field will be available for the opponent's move depends on which cell of the small playing field they place the cross. So, if with your first move you place a cross in the bottom right cell of any of the small playing fields, then your opponent will be forced to move in the bottom right playing field, and it will depend on them in which playing field you can place your symbol. If the target playing field indicated by your move or your opponent's move is already completed, then your opponent or you can move on any of the small playing fields where victory has not yet been achieved. You can force your opponent to make moves in a certain field, you can even allow them to win in one of the fields, and no matter how many field victories you give to your opponent, your main task is to arrange your three victories in three fields of the large playing field in one row - horizontally, vertically or diagonally.
