Schulte Table Test-Trainer - Colored Flags

Picture showing Schulte table with colored flags

Description of Schulte Table Test-Trainer - Colored Flags
Unlike the standard Schulte test, here you will need to search not for numbers, but for color schemes - flags consisting of 4 colored squares. Thus, you need to sequentially find all the flags in the table one by one, following the assignment, and do it as quickly as you can. This test-trainer will help you not only assess your level of attention and color perception abilities but will also contribute to their training.

Taking the "Schulte-Colored Flags" test-trainer
Your task here is to find color schemes - flags, following the given template located above the table with colored flags. After finding the required flag, the task will change and you will need to find the next flag, and continue doing so until all flags are selected. Depending on the difficulty level, after finding the current flag, the flags may either remain in place or shuffle randomly, confusing the search.

Calculating the results of the Schulte test for finding colored flags
The result is evaluated based on the number of errors made during the test, as well as the time spent completing the test. Thus, both the total test completion time and the average time to find each flag are assessed. In the future, averaged values based on the results of all visitors who have taken this test on Metodorf project resources will also be available.

Table size:
Larger size → harder to find
Number of colors:
Fewer colors → fewer conflicting shades
Table type:
Static: flags remain in place

On our website, you can also test your ability to accurately and quickly assess the color of a word when the word itself indicates a different color — this is the so-called Stroop effect, the measurement of which can reveal problems with cognitive control. Choose the appropriate Stroop test option among those available on our website via the following link:

Both the Schulte table with colored flags and the Stroop test, among others, can help develop color perception, but only on a psychological level, since it is practically impossible to influence the physical parameters of vision in this way.
