Classic Stroop Test Online - Verbal Version (only PC)
Stroop Test Online - Verbal Version
Description of the Verbal Version of the Stroop Test - Colors This test, similar to the classic Stroop Test already available on metodorf.com, requires you to verbally pronounce the color of the text using your voice through a microphone, regardless of the color the text names. For example, if the word "red" is written in blue, you should quickly and clearly say the word "blue". The system will evaluate the speed at which you name the colors and identify delays on problematic color-text combinations. This delay is based on the well-known Stroop effect, according to which the mismatch between the word being the name of a color and the color in which this word is written can cause a slight confusion in a person.
Taking the Classic Verbal Stroop Test Online First of all, you need a microphone into which you will speak, usually, smartphone owners should have this microphone present in the device by default. The microphone should also be enabled in the operating system settings. After transitioning to the test page, you will need to twice confirm permission for the browser to use your microphone - once to allow listening to your microphone, and the second time to enable the speech-to-text function. After all confirmations, you can start the test. Optionally, you have a version with a button to move to the next word and automatic transition to the next word. Your task is to, after the word appears, speak the name of the color in which the word is written, regardless of the color the word names, loudly and clearly into the microphone.
Calculating the Results of the Verbal Stroop Test The result is calculated similarly to how the results of the classic Stroop Test with manual color name selection are calculated.
